Mara has over 25 years experience in laboratory diagnostics industry; first as a medical technologist specializing in hematology and flow cytometry and then as a sales and marketing professional with the Coulter Corporation and Beckman Coulter, Inc. In her 18 year tenure with Coulter Corp, she began as a field sales representative, progressing to Worldwide Marketing position supporting flow cytometry, served as Regional Sales Manager, Marketing Manager and her final position as Director of Transplantation and Cellular Therapies. She joined the Wallace H. Coulter Foundation in July, 2004 as Director – Research Awards. Mara received BS degree in Medical Technology from Michigan State University, an MS in Education from the University of Michigan and finally and MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.
