Interest: ROCKFORD (WREX) - Several groups like EIGERlab, Rockford Area Economic Development Council, Northern Illinois University, Rock Valley College made a collaborative effort to earn federal grants and all are expected to benefit. The funding for three grants totals $10 million dollars. Half of it is federal money, the other half is funding local agencies matched.
