The University Startup Showcase will feature 100 of the best university startups vetted and nominated by universities around the country. The USS is a by-invitation only event, open to venture capitalists, angel investors, SBIR program managers and Global 1000 companies.

Invited investors may participate to view and score companies at the weekly online Virtual Showcases that will feature 15 companies by industry category. The audience in the Virtual Showcase are only angel investors, venture capitalists, Global 1000 companies and SBIR program managers.

A. Benefits to Participating Investors

B. Who will do the Investor Scoring?

The 100+ investors scoring companies in the University Startups Showcase will be from:

• Global 1000 companies
• Angel investors
• SBIR program managers
• Professional venture capital companies

C. Scoring of the Company's Online Presentation

The scoring of the company will be on range of 1 to 5 in the following categories:

• Company management team
• Market potential
• Product(s)
• Intellectual property

An online scoring form will be available to investors viewing the company presentations. Time will be allotted for scoring after each presentation.

D. USS In-person Showcase

In-person presentations and meetings of the top 10 scoring startups from the Virtual Showcases will present at the University Startups Conference on March 22, 2013 in Washington, DC.
