TEDCO is an independent entity that was established by the Maryland General Assembly in 1998. TEDCO is overseen by 15-member board of directors appointed by the Governor with advice and consent of the Senate. The board is comprised of leaders in the State’s technology community and contains representatives from these sectors: Private, university, non-profit and public. Within TEDCO, President and vice-presidents sit at the executive level and each program is managed by various directors and program managers (stem cell, federal programs, entrepreneurial/incubator programs, university programs, seed funding program, etc.).
