When I'm working on an SBIR application, my focus is nearly entirely on the innovative nature of my technology. This is several steps before market implementation, and it's difficult to imagine having the time to also consider how the technology will be segmented into multiple platforms. Can you speak a bit about what you're looking for when reviewing SBIR applications, and how much effort you would like to see (at the Phase I stage) to delineate market strategy, segmentation and platform definition?
